Can you imagine changing LS1 plugs, say in a F-Body, after every run? It would make you quit racing or give up NOS! Madman, we're only running a 200 shot, so I don't believe changing plugs after EVERY run will be neccessary. We'll do whatever we have to do.
See our new NOS setup at http://www.hollowayracing.com/firebird%20motor.htm .

My deal is if you cant afford oil, filter and plugs you shouldnt be racing.

The first two times out using N2O we pulled the plugs and checked them after every run. After we were sure the tune was good, and we weren't burning up or fouling any plugs, we pull them at the end of the race day to check them out. The plugs are always fine, but no harm in checking just to make sure. We have 2 extra sets of Autolite AR103's just in case.
I'm also interested in the Autolite swap deal that MADMAN was talking about.

I like the way you think, but I suspect that my guys will object after they figure out the scheme.

seriously, i would almost rather run a 7 cylinder the way that sucker is. i hate changing springs on it, the plug, let alone gettin in the tube to fill the cylinder with air so the valves dont drop, that was BY FAR the worst, because you cant just get it in like a plug, it took 2 of us, i held it in the hole while someone was up top of the car twisting it clockwise and i was holing the end of it as well as where it bent so itd go in. i hate the clutter that the stock cars have. Too much crap!

I change my plugs after every night at the races. As long as I am at the track I usually check them after every run but reuse them until I go out the next weekend or the next day. The reason I do is because it is cheap insurance. Plus with TR10s they get fuel fouled out really easy. I need to lean the f out of my motor for idel and that will help
As for oil. I do that every 10 passes or once a month.

1. Your car is an F-Body that does not have all stock equipment under the hood, or,
2. Your car is NOT an F-body, but rather some other kind of car, such as my Firebird Pro Stock type car.
I am not sure whether this thread starter's car falls into my category #1 or #2?

If I had a 70 Chevelle, I would send it to W2W and turn it into a bbc fi monster.
