Ultrabell Tranny bolts?

Ultrabell Tranny bolts?
i posted this in auto trans section, but figure it's more suitable for here. i looked and read the TH400 FAQ Derty has, but he only talked about flywheel bolts. Can you use the standard M6 bellhousing bolts on the Ultrabell to mate up to the back of the LS1? Is there a special ARP bolt required? Thanks

yes you can. The ultrabell is about 4mm thicker at the block matting surface than the M6 bell housing.
There's enough length to the stock bolts to have enough thread engagement. I did track down some 10.9 metric cap screws that were 6mm longer than the stocker. However, you still have to use the stockers on the 2 lowest holes due to the counter sink in the housing. You can't get a socket on if you use standard wrenching size cap heads, the stockers use a reduced side head so the socket is the same size as the bolt head flange.
the ultrabell comes with bolts, but they are grade 8 standard thread for an SBC.
