well...kirk is NOT out of buisness,he's tunning some new things on my car in 10 days. ap engineering went out of buisness, kirk is not ape.(it sucks for all the loss people got from them) should of went to see him,his tune alone got me 18hp over my last tune from another sponcer(lol)how-hi 5,500 seems to be the best spot,i've went as much as 6,000 before. money in to it? i come up with $8250+i blwe my motor so $13,300 for every thing, rims, tires you know all the little **** included.i'm not made of money either, you know whit i do for a living,i'm poor do you still have your air in the car? if you do remember i gained 2 tenths from removing my air conditioner,a.i.r system and front sway, all free stuff.i did your opll, the q-a1's are nice, but didn't help to reduce my et much at all. i like your web page, even got some hotties on it.

yea i think i am going to swap my converters for sure now.. i have a friend that wants to buy my vig 3200.. and i think i'm going to go with a Yank 4000 so i can throw some actual launches at theat damn 9" and try to get my 60 ft's to 1.5's..maybe even less! considering i pulled a 1.7 on coopers lol.. Pat actually might be selling your old heads to me cuz he wants to save for a stroker motor.. if you wouldn't mind me running your old heads haha.. should do a lot for me over my stock heads.. I would remove my air conditioning but i like it too much on hot days like today lol.. air system is removed already, and i might remove my front sway bar.. but i'm afraid of my cornering.. i'll see what i can do though.. i'm going to try and throw as much power to that rear as possible! talk to ya later

The bigger stall will help alot. with my old heads and the x2 cam(232/240 595 608)i ran 11.6 and even a few 11.5's,those heads were good to me,but like everyone i always want more(and still do).just keep going and you'll get what you want, then you'll want more.

Man, stop spending more money and fix your car!
If you have a Vig 3200, F11, Tires, Haders and a Cut-Out, you already have an 11 second car!
Your car should run 11.7 to 11.8 with about a 115 MPH in 2,000 DA
You have some kind of tuning problem like knock. Get your car Auto Tap and make some track runs and look at your Ltrims and Knock. I bet you either have positive ltrims or you have metal to metal. Either one will cause knock and pull up to 4 degrees of timing.
Then move your shift points so it shifts around 6800 RPM and AutoTap again to make sure where it is shifting. I bet you will be where you want to be.
Look at my brothers car (Slacker)
98 Z28, full weight, 227/224, headers, vig 3200 and M/T drag raidails. He is running 1.68 sixty with 11.8 at 116 in hot FL weather. He launches from idle and drive to and from the track with his A/C on ice cold.
You should to!
Tuning, Tuning and Tuning
Good luck and show us your 11 sec. slip.

yea i think its some tuning issues too.. but i think since i'm going to have to get it re-tuned.. i should just go ahead and buy some ported polished 5.3 heads so i havwe to get it tuned anyways.. So i am keeping my eyes open for a deal on some.. i know a different tuner that is going to tune my car once i get heads.. i'll prob do the heads and pulley at the same time actually and get retuned.. so maybe my gains will be more than i expect! Thanks for the help! appreciate it

Tune, bigger stall, more gear. And if you have a 9" rear, you do not likely have 3.73 gears. Those are 12 bolt Chevy and Ford 8.8 gears. You must have 3.70 gears.

You have something going on with your car, I had boltons 216/220 525/532 cam with 342s out back and a TCI 3800 stall in a fullweight (3576) 1999 TA with the centerline wheels and I could run 11.80s at 112/113 mph with a DA of around 1700 . By he way my car only dynoed 342 at the wheels and shifted at 6400rpm ..
