I mean I cannot launch this damn car if my life depended on it.
tell me the VERY basics explain this to me like I'm 3 because I do not have any experience with this.. if I could get a 2.2 or lower on the street I'd be happy but I'm miserable at it now.

R U leaveing very hard now?...RPM wise...
try just a 1500 rpm dump then floor it....if that dont work try takeing off like you were at a stop light the floor it
or slip the clutch..but thats not good to do
next result would be a 9in or 12bolt and slicks and launch off the rev limiter..that should do it then

Play with the launch RPM. Start at 1000 and work up. Don't go full throttle until it hooks well. Get DR and this will help a lot. Sorry to say but this is a "ya gotta learn" game.

You have to play with it. It will change from tire to tire, track to track, and even day to day (even on the same track). I have no finesse. I just set my launch RPM and side-step the clutch on the 3rd amber.
You will need to go to the track on a sparse night when it's not crowded and you can get a bunch of passes in.
If you want to launch good you need to make sure you have a good griping clutch and a sticky tire. the way i launch is i keep my rpm's where i want them and i let the clutch out till its almost griping the flywheel and then let it out and gas it. dont just dump the clutch because its not good for it and your car will bog of the line if you do depending on your rpms.

man solution is simple, you need better tires.
