Default anyone running without tubes in their slicks???

anyone running without tubes in their slicks??? can it be done with hoosiers that are 28x10x16????...........i do know of a guy that has run without tubes in his slicks how safe is it

We never run tubes. I dont like the rotational weight. Plus if you have alot of hp the tire shake is worse. Just coat the inside of the slicks with dish soap, screw the rims and go race.

thanks for your help.......one more question will i have to upgrade my lugs when i put the slicks on .....will tech give me a hard time.....if i do need to upgrade what size do i need to pass tech and how long???......i have been running cheater slicks with no problem from tech but i think i need to run some true slicks for better traction

tubes.. you don't need no stinkin tubes. I run my et streets on the street... no tubes, no problems either.

Same here. Have run a few sets of "tube type" tires, never with tubes.

No tubes here either and that is exactly how mine were done!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself!!!

Never tubed, but waiting get tubbed!
As for studs, techs should follow the NHRA Ruling on them, where the stud must protrude into the lug not less then the diameter of the stud...or something like that. Basically I've run a 16" ET Street on stock rims and studs for long time. But, once I got the 15" I swapped in a set of Lingenfelter Studs, which 7 snapped within a month. Then went and found the 3" ARP's.
