If it's licensed and driven on the street, it's a street car. If you want to see a race car, see my Firebird.

Everyones definition of a street car is different. I wouldnt consider a 5000 plus stall and no overdrive a "street" car but that is just my definition

One thing is for sure, you are not stock internal

Car looks great though! I drove a 98 6 speed Formula with cage, spool, skinnies, no AC for several years. 385ci stroker though, so definitely not stock internal

Race car.

If you drive it on the street, well, it's a race car you drive on the street.

I think hawkn01 has head/cam now so he is out. You are running some awesome times and I'm not taking anything away but records are records even if the car doesnt exist any more.
Thats kool i guess i'll just have to smash that 10.98 like Gallagher does a watermelon. Oh wait but then everybody will be about my rod bolts and bearings.

Hell mine gets called a racecar most of the time because it has a T-Rex cam and 4400 stall (now 4800). The only things I have taken out are the front BS, rear seat, spare tire/jack, my passenger seat when going to the track, and change to Prostars at the track. Track weight is 3470 and daily with the Boyds on is around 3550 and I don't even have a rollbar/cage yet

I need some info on how/what to do to get the weight down on my car without loosing the A/C and heat. Tell me more about the creative sawing and such

Man.. I gotta ask.. Why do you give a damn what someone thinks about or calls your car?

IMO, you've got a car that runs good and does everything YOU want it to do. Who gives a damn what others think about.

K-member and Arms help alot. Little things add up too. LW carpet shaved off 20+ pounds, I remove the passengers seat at the track. I haven't done it yet, but you can get a race seat for the drivers side. Lots of misc things add up.

I've got mine where it's ~3390-4000 in race trim and ~3500-3525 on 17's. Still have all the stereo, A/C, heat.. basically all the factory ammenities.

damn bro some people are different and you are one of those guys

I can't say the car is a full race car yet but with that raceweight its not too far away. One thing is for sure though, I bet you can give the general lee a run for its money hahaha!

Grats on the times though, nothing better than telling somebody you are stock when running the times you do.

I'm voting stock internals street car, to me, internals are, Crank, Rods, Pistons, and cam. If i spun a bearing, tore the motor appart, had the crank turned, filled the radii, installed oversized bearings, and re-assembled it, paying extra close attn to the new rings, gap, and position, bearing clearances, and so on and so forth, then is it not a stock internal car ? NOPE!! YOU CHANGED BEARINGS!! WHAT THE TIMING CHAIN!?! OMG YOU CHANGED GASKETS TOO!! THATS NOT STOCK!!! (having a massive heart attack and falling over clenching chest ) Hell, in a car that will see any abuse/track time i won't reuse ANY rod bolt! for the price, if it's appart, change the damn things! cheap insurance.

I agree with it being SI but it looks more like a racecar you drive on the street. As for those big *** off road tires, thats not something I would feel happy about driving on.

Definitely not stock internals. Like mentioned above it's a race car driven on the street.
