Default How much mph difference between 26" & 28" slicks?

My times in sig. I think I can go lower .2-.3 & with a better 60' & cooler weather. The question is, with the 28" slicks the car revs slower & I was crossing the traps at ~6000rpm. With 26" slicks I'll be crossing the line at ~6500rpm, which is well within the power band. I verified that with Autotap on my 26" street tires.

How much difference in mph (and maybe et) is this going to make?

Thanks

Will you be able to hook soid on the 26" slicks? I'd guess 1-2mph as well, but if you are going to the smaller 26" slicks and can't hook solid then you will be trading 60ft and ET which is putting you in the wrong direction if I'm reading this right. You may try to borrow some 26" before spending the $$. I could not hook on 26" drags myself and our MPH is very close. My current 60fts are 1.42-1.44 in +500 DA in a 3500# car.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Yes, I should hook atleast as good as on the 28" slicks. I'll be using M&H 12.0/26.0-16. This tire is wide. http://www.intercotire.com/site47.php

That is a wide tire. It ought to stick all right. Good luck!
