Default Black car + big burnouts + ET drags = big mess

If you are like me and the biggest pain after a day of racing is getting the rubber off the car, try a can of this stuff if you can find it and spray it on first. 11 big ET drag burnouts on a 94+ degree sunny day yesterday and ALL the rubber wiped right off this morning with a paper towell where I sprayed it on first

My question is, what the hell do you use when you already have a ton of rubber caked on ur quarter panels to get it off? And i'm talkin a ton, i've gotten to the point where I don't feel like ****** with it, so I usually just go around it when I wash the car, hehe!!

I dunno, I've tried armor all and some other 'home remedy' stuff but whatever this is it works. Plus its a really fine aerosol and it sprays on like paint.

I'm sure there are other similar things out there but this is tested if you can find it

http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=281

is what comes up on a search.

Loudmouth, I have no idea but I have wanted to do the same thing a lot of times and just leave it..

I say bug and tar remover and a lot of patience. Once it's off though dont let it get caked on again!

loudmouth its gonna take some time but hose it down with wd40, let it sit, then keep soaking it in simple green degreaser and rubbing it off, eventually you'll get it all. shop towels work best b/c once that gooy mess gets on the towel its done, it'll just keep spreading around if you don't use a fresh one. its a pain but you'll get it off.

A blow torch and caution should get it off the inside. Im not talking a full blown torch, just the ones they sell at walmart. Just use it to make the rubber soft and then peel it off.

By the sounds of it you have more than one tire on the rear quarters.

I use Lemon Pledge and it rinses right off as well. But before I learned that trick, for caked on tire, I let it soak down with WD-40 also. You can use a hard plastic squeegie to get the thick stuff off then resoak with WD-40 again and wipe clean with shop rags.

Probably about 40 burnouts worth from my ET Drags, last time I cleaned that **** off was before I got the new set and that's probably about what I got on 'em, 40 passes now!

I'd love to just leave all the rubber but everytime you do anything all those little black rubber ***** fall of and the kids track them everywhere - that is some nasty stuff on lighter colored carpet

Kevin, I got some awesome pics of your car doing burnouts and launching. The rubber mess will be worth it when you see them

I'll post them tonight
