WOT, the subframes are welded, the silicone is just to make sure everything is sealed. I don't like doing burnouts and having to open my doors to vent out the smoke.
Jeramy, I went with Aerospace brakes because I already had a set in my garage.
Jason, the rearend is narrowed 2" on each side. This allows me to run a 15x10 wheel with a 5.5" backspace, looks nice with a deep dish on the rear and the axle is lighter too.
Jon, I'm in Project Management in the subsea oil/gas industry, with an degree in Mechanical Engineering. I also co-own this site.

Yes, this is the old QMP car, hence the name "Project Censored"

I'm disappointed you didn't go with an old firebird......everyone has a 67-69 camaro. I'm sure it'll be sweet though if it resembles your old car at all.

I modified the cage. I like all my stuff tight to the body.

By his cage and modify. I just raised the bar up and welded it.

Just to make sure I understand this... A cage like that is legal to 7.50 for 3 years, as long as it is certified by dec 31. If you want to be cert to 7.50 after 3 years, you will need to add funny car cage. If you were to get that cage certified in Jan 06 you would only get cert to 8.50, and would need the funnycar cage for 7.50.
Sound right?

Maybe better pics (picture angle not quality) will show better what I'm asking.

All you need is the cage welded out.
On moving the bar its how you notch it. as to where it ends up.

parts + labor = $$
Looking at over $20K in parts/labor just from that list above....just in chassis/suspension/drivetrain.
still have to spend on the engine, turbo system, wheels/tires, fuel system, engine management system, cosmetics, etc...
