Question Drag racing and a strut tower brace.

I was wondering if there is anything gained by removing the STB? I was told it will allow the car to launch harder.

Thoughts?

He didn't say it was more of a weight savings, it just allowed the car to launch better.

Your thinking of the sway bar.
Front sway bar and STB are ONLY i repeat ONLY going to help the car handle the corners better. in a drag race they are both dead weight. The taking the sway bar off does help the front end come up better though.

No.. I'm not thinking of the sway bar. I already have that removed, we are talking about the STB. I know how removing the swaybar will help.

Thanks for the reply anyway, I got the answer I was looking for.

If you use it for advertising space like I do, you might want to leave it on the car

You can always find someone who will agree with anything.
