Would the exhaust be a bit more quiet with the outlets turned out the side of the car rather than down?

Yes, that would calm the sound down, at least inside the car.

Actually mine are turned somewhat to the side. Sorta mid way between down and the side. HUH?

1 3/4 LT headers, 3in duals, DR. Gas X Pipe, Flo-Pro Twister mufflers, and dumps before the axle.

Turn down angled slightly out. much better inside but no help outside

Redid my exhaust this evening, will have pics up tomorrow when there's light out. Turned out pretty good! I can't wait to see...or should I say hear what it sounds like!!!

Finished up yesterday and didn't have enough daylight to shot some pics, so did it today.

I don't know yet as my car isn't fully put back together. There's no fluid in the tranny and I cant reinstall the driveshaft until I receive my new rear end. Can't wait to hear it though. Hopefully its a little more aggressive than the H-pipe setup I had dumped at the axle.
