It looks harder than you think. Just disconnect the stock cable from the bracket on the manifold. Then follow it where it goes into the firewall, disconnect that. then disconnect it from the pedal. Reverse those for installing the new one.
ok getting it out from the firewall is a pain...you have to crawl up under the dash, lay on your back and try to push the plastic flaps in and push it out the firewall into the engine bay.
I just yanked on it from the engine bay side instead and broke it and it came out....much easier that way!
