Default Darting All The Way Down The Track When Power Applied

My Z28 is moving around quite a bit at the track and I am trying to find out what to do to fix the issue. The first video is my 3rd pass in the car and along with my 3rd pass in about 2 years since totalling my Formula. Car drifted right so I lifted. The second video is about my 6th pass. I am still getting accustomed to the car so the shifts are slower than I would like.

The car has been a handful to drive and has seemed to get worse. As you can see in the second video, the car makes a big move to the left everytime the power is reapplied, very noticeable on the big end. Car also seems to be rocking from front driverside to the rear passenger side

Suspension mods are listed below.

Front:

BMR K-Member
BMR Lower A-Arms
Hal R-Series Shocks (Set on 5 or 6)

Rear:

BMR Extreme Torque Arm (-2 Pinion Angle)
BMR Rod Ended LCAs
BMR LCA Relocation Brackets (Set on lowest hole)
BMR Adjustable Panhard Bar
Stock Shocks and Springs

We recently installed a Wolfe Anti-Roll, but I have yet to make it back to the track.

Any help would definitely be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave

The swaybar will help but you need to scale the car and get your preload set after the install.

We are trying to track down a set of scales at the moment. Maybe not the safest or most accurate thing, but until we scale the car we are just going to get it back to the track and adjust the sway bar until the car handles a lot better.

Anything else I should be looking out for?

Thanks,

Dave

Have you squared the rear end in the car?? Also have you aligned to front??

I dont like to use the sway bar to drive the car.

How fast is the car, raceweight? Event ET and MPH goals?

I have no experience with a stick car, but I recently had my alignment redone, and I did a few other changes, and my car (T400) is now almost boring to drive. Before that I had to actively steer it and almost pedal it in 3rd gear.

From the measurements we have taken the rear end appears to be be squared in the car. Where are the best reference points on the car to use square the rear end?

The car has been aligned, but the rear has been moved some for tire clearance since the alignment.

Car hasn't made a full pass since it was put together, best mph has been 134. Looking for about 137mph on the 150 pills. Once the car is driving straight on the bottle, will pill up and try for 140-145mph before tearing it down for the winter to freshen the motor and install a new set of heads and new intake manifold. Currently weighs about 3360lb with me in it. Will switch to a TH400 or Glide in future with goal being bottom 9s @ 150 or so.

Listen to MADMAN.
scale the car Then you can adjust the rear swaybar to keep the car pointing straight. Disconnect one side to make the car "neutral" and then put it on the scales. You will raise or lower your ride height slightly at the passenger side rear as you adjust the preload on that side of the sway bar. Adjusting the passenger side while leaving the driver side alone is the "standard" when tweaking pre-load. Seek out a reputable chassis shop in your area. If they have scales, they probably know what they are doing, but still go in there with eyes wide open/ask around about their rep beforehand. It is YOUR life that is on the line when your car darts towards the wall.
