I want to do it, but I'm concerned how it will effect my cooling and A/C operation. I have a black plastic "scoop" covering that area of my car, not to mention the windsheild washer tank (which I can ditch). Doesn't removing the black plastic shrouding reduce airflow over the radiator and condenser?

All those plastic shrouds are for getting air to the radiator/condenser even with the fans being off. but don't help as much when the fans are on.
i have one fan come on full blast at 160* and a second on a manual switch for when ever i need max cooling.

I'm running the SUX2BU dual 4" set up....finally and I did pick up a little over 1 mph over the SSRA. I managed to trap 128.5 yesterday in nasty air at HRP.

127.6 mph is the norm without locking the TC.

A very good mod IMO.

Thanx SUX2BU!!!

Great set up. Tom the Roofer has a nice set up also, maybe he'll chime in.

SUX2BU has the Mike Hoffpauir mod. I miss him posting his old cam only times, that car is still impressive to this very date for what all it had.

I thought about doing the same thing and dumping the fast toys setup.

So after reading this I got inspired. I used 4" pcv elbows from Home Depot and routed them from the foglight holes then I used a transition piece that squares it off and I ran, I'm embarrased to say, gutter drain up to the back of the airbox. I think it looks good, up to the gutter drain part but I didn't have to cut the car up in any way and the gutter drain really fits well between the radiator-trans cooler and the frame support. Maybe I'll wrap the gutter drain part in heat wrap or something so you can't tell what it is.

Here is the most shocking update

NHRA Stock Eliminator Guys with 4th Gen Firebirds are a tenth and a half quicker with the flat hood and no Ram Air and a throttle body with no air cleaner or ducts or MAF.Lots of swapping there WS6 hoods dropping down a class and running faster
