!Front bumper support with fog lights???

!Front bumper support with fog lights??? I have a 1995 Trans Am. I'm looking to remove the front bumper support. I want to keep my fog lights though. Im sure there are some guys here that have kept there fog lights while doing so. Can I get some Ideas how I can keep them and still get rid of that support? Could I just some how use screws to mount them in the bumper?

I've still got mine, I just plasma cut all the unecessary metal off of the bumper support. I was just left with a thin strip of metal that still bolted to the frame rails (prolly weighs 3-4 lbs) and it still has the brackets for the foglights.......

I have heard a couple of people saying that when they removed the supports etc., when they would drive at high speeds, the nose would actually move and point downwards due to the downforce and the lack of any support behind the bumper. Can someone verify this?

give me a break. seen plenty of cars go 150+ with no bumper supports and only thing that happend was they got dead bugs on their bumper. LS1 Tech Stories

Weight savings, (esp on a M6) is incredibly important. I dont have any pics, but it helped my car in the 60' a whole lot. I did do other weight reduction at the same time though.
Neither my front nor rear bumpers sag at all. On the rear I made a small bracket that bolts to where the bumper support use to bolt, and then uses a plastic push clip to attach to the bumper itself. That made a world of difference in the sturdiness of the bumper and only cost me a few ounces in weight......

The front end with no support DOES FOLD UP.. and when you slow down it unfolds and when you get out of your car it may look like it did not but it did... This car is a prime example of a front end with no support behind it and this was taken at only about 100mph as he slowed down. If you dont think that front end was flat and slowing him down at 150 your dead wrong.

Mine doesnt move AT ALL, not even a little bit, I DD the car, it sees 100+ more or less everyday, been like this for 2 years.........(I've even been beside the car looking at the front clip while it was going over a 100, looked just like it does standing still)

yup back in the old street racin days i was in a friends Z06 (shotgun) running a camaro with no bumper support and it was at his door up till about 150 so i had a pretty good view. and it looked fine.

search for S_J_H in the forced induction forum. he removed his bumber for an FMIC and modded his brackets for his foglights.
I've seen a pic or video of Big Rick's nose going concave, but he had a fat-*** turbo creating a large area of vacuum behind his bumper.
