Default Stenod Performance 25.2 / Outlaw 10.5 Update

Started mounting the tubs and the seat in the car. Now we're moving on to some other finishing / tedious details. I'll keep posting some pictures as we get through the build up.

jesus, and to think that car used to drive on the street not long ago!

To be honest, much of the chassis has been done for a year. I took a small time out to work on some other things and would only mess with it from time to time. Now we are back at it again.

Unless you really try to build something like this, the appreciation for how much physical effort is involved can never be recognized by most. The amount of work that we've put into the car so far is far beyond what I had originally expected. To reproduce it, someone would have to spend quite a bit of time and effort. The separation between this type of car and something like what we used to run is pretty radical.

It's going to be very worth it when it's done! And we're having a ton of fun putting it together.

Derty the car looks freakin bad ***!!! My question is you say Outlaw 10.5 racing, which do you mean like ORSCA style racing, or do you all have local events?

If so do you plan on keeping the LS1, or move onto a SBC / BBC turbo setup. I remember seeing you say that you were going to keep a LS1, but I just cannot see a LS1 being able to compete with people like Tim Lynch, Todd Moyer, Steve Kirk, etc..

Car looks awesome man. Cant wait till i can afford to turn my Z into somethine very similar.

if i remember correctly the car is being setup for a local series @ milan. There are actually 4 ls1 powered cars being built for this series right now i believe (Harlan, Derty, Whitey, Roofer Dave)

Right now it's being built for any 10.5 class (not true 10.5, but the 10.5W type classes like Super Street). The idea is not to be the fastest in the class, but the most consistent. It's a whole new ballgame with this setup so we're going to get our feet wet. After that we'll see what we can learn. Like Bill said, the major focus this year is with Milan. We may hit a race with Pro or the NSCA as well since there have been some major rule changes in Super Street for next year.

With things like the Warhawk block and some new heads that are coming out of ET Performance eventually some form of hybrid LSx should be able to make even more power. So, I'm not going to give up on the engine just yet. Certainly we could make a dead serious SBC. And if the LSx doesn't quite get it together after a couple trys we'll certainly give it a better look. But, at the moment consistency wins so we're looking to make the middle of the field for now.

I'd like to see you running a few PRO events....there usually isn't many cars in Super Street. The turbo cars dominate the class though (Millen, Carpenter, etc.). Better be ready to run 7.4's or better. It's an awesome class though!

Car looks good too.....

The rules for both organizations have been opened up to support single up to 106mm and twins up to 88's I believe. 7.4's Will likely be the bump spot next year. We get a few of the Pro and NSCA races here, so we're going to stick with the local stuff for now and look for other events on a occasional basis. I don't think we're going to be going all over the country for many races.

Good luck with the car it looks great.

10.5 inch tire racing is where it is at.

It will be nice to see some LSx powered cars out there.

The big bitch twin brothers car is not Harlan's. It's actually Go Fast's car. I haven't seen it in some time though.

You can't have it, but everything is for sale. Shoot me a sizable serious number and I'll consider it. Otherwise, ship your car up and Sti-Nod can do this for you.

Like Kyle said, the shop name is prenounced Sti (Like Stiffler) and Nod , ala Sti-nod.

It's not so bad to get in and out. Kick both feet out the door and slide out. That's part of the reason why the seat is so far back, it greatly opened up the door.
