Default Race weight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I finally weighed my car today with about a 1/2 tank or a little under. Came in at 3580 lbs with me inside the car. I did however forget to chuck some **** out that I normally would dump for the track like the front sway sitting in the back seat area (lol) and speaker box and some other *****. Might equal 30-35lbs with that trash out. So I figure 3550lb is the actual at track weight. Now to shed 50-75lbs??? I figure my fat *** could stand to lose 30lbs but what else can I do with out becoming a stripper car? Lighter seats?

Oh I still need cage so that will add 70lbs back on, doh!!!

There is so much excess fat in these cars it is amazing... Take a look at the sticky in this forum for a few ideas, or just have a look around at some of the local lightweight cars the next time you are at the track.

For the past couple of months I thought mine weighed 2980lbs w/o driver but my friend said he was inside when he weighed it. He is about 160-170 so that should bring mine down to about 2810 or so. I have Aerospace front and rear brakes on order which should drop about another 40-50lbs. I need it to be around 2750 so when my fat 250 lb *** gets in I will be right at 3000lbs.

God dam that's light! I just want the car to weigh 3500 with me & the cage in it. I figure if I drop down to 200lbs and the car weighs 3300 lbs I'll be happy but I refuse to strip her down . I want it to be capable of DD if worse came to worse.
