Default Meziere Race pump guys....

Do you happen to remember what length flex radiator hose you used for the lower? Also, what are you guys using for restrictors or thermostats?

No restrictor, just excess warmup times....

I actually used the long radiator hose that comes on the 3800 V6 f-bodies... and cut it to fit.. It worked out really well...

It was either the long end or the short end I used... either way, it fit very well after I cut it to size.

I'm glad someone brought this up, I'm going to use one for this upcoming season. Need the little tricks.

So what about all the people saying that you will never reach operating temps? Ive heard that without a t-stat, you dont allow for proper heat transfer in the radiator and can actually overheat...

well if you're over heating, then you're well past operating temps.

Depends on what you're going to do with the car.

With my car, with elec race water pump, and a single elec fan... my car would pick up 10-20 degrees of coolant temp from a track pass.

Just took a while to warm up.

Its going to see street duty. One spal 16" fan with an lt1 radiator. It stays ar 180ish now with a meziere street pump. I got the HD version of the race pump so it should glow 45gpm compared to the 55 of the street version

how bout one of these? http://www.flatlanderracing.com/milowaterpumpcomp.html

xssive: do you have p/n WP119SHD?? I'm trying to figure out the different race pump configurations, but there is little info available.

there is the standard 12V, which flows 35gpm and costs about $350
then the Heavy Duty 12V, i believe flows 45gpm and is about $365, not sure what else is different, maybe it weights more ???
there is also a 16V heavy duty. no idea what it flows though, or what is different. costs $395

edit: well finally found some info http://www.meziere.com imagine that

Yeah I have the HD version. Its just a longer life motor and the flow rate is better. The 16v version is not for use on a 12v system

The Heavy Duty Race version is 1 lb heavier then the standard race pump and it is 5/8" longer (toward radiator)

cool, thanks for the info.

also, to combat the long warmup times, why not just put a switch inside to switch it on and off ?

Switching it on and off from the inside is awesome because you can also leave it running with the electric fans between runs I have heard the car cools after a run in 5-10 minutes.
