Do you recommend the TA to be high or low on a M6. The car is lowered too

wouldnt you have to find the angle the car happens to be sitting at when your adjusting the pinion angle? for some reason i see the angle bieng different if the car is sitting at an angle. thanks

when we do driveline angle at work(ford) we record frame angle, crank angle, driveshaft and pinion angle. I check the angle of the car(almost impossible to get level in normal garages, jack stands or ramps) and subtract or add that to the pinion

Going back to TQ arms there is three lengths/styles in my book..

Transmount W/relocation mount (long)

Tunnel brace mount (short)

Weld in mount... (mid)

Right now I run a trans mount arm on the trans. I can't be risk it on the tail shaft this year so I need to something to get it off the trans. I can't do the weld in style because I have Boxed subframe connectors.

I was partial to the "short" mount and sell my long one until I went to the track last fall and a guy with an F-body had a tunnel brace mounted one on his car with a full slick and skinnys and I had one 60' that was better than him and the others where the close all day. Almost the same mods done to both cars, but he had QA1 shocks all the way around where I am running a 275 nitto, stock shocks, street trim.

Taking it for granted that our setups where close, I think the short TQ arm hits to hard...?

How off am I...?

Get a YANK crossmember that relocates the TA off the tail shaft. I got one and it works great. I cut mid to low 1.5s all the time with the stock TA at 3500 #s.

I was looking at the picture of the Yank mount can you adjust the placement of the TQ arm holder like the BMR torque arm mounts?

On mine you can not, but it wouldn't take much fabrication to make it possible. That will be one of my new projects.

I also have an M6 car which will be lowered soon. I just installed the BMR TA relocation crossmember. I put it in the 4th set of holes, starting from the bottom counting upwards. BMR tech line told me this is stock location. i was going to start here and test it at the track...but maybe this is not the best setting for my car. It will be on a 26x11.50 ET street. any input on this Madman?

I have the BMR straight ones. if you use those ones w/ the cross bracing go'n all over under the car you can't fit some types of aftermarket exhaust.

I too have the BMR th400 member with the adjustable mount point for the stock length torque arm (random tech in my case). I started it at the top and am still wating on my motor so we'll see how it works when I get everything in the car and go racing. Anyone who has a similar setup and is running sub 11s post up how you've done with it and where it's setup, if you don't mind sharing seacrets that is. Thanks

In general, if you move the arm up, as I have, would you soften or tighten the shock. Car in question should be low 10s high 9s with 4.56 gears and a 30" (315/60/15) et radial tire. Thanks.

edit: Forgot to add car has adjustable lca's with re-location mounts, 3300lbs, 4.56s, with a 4000stall and 4.56 gears.
