Madman,

I was wondering if you would be willing to do some kind of tutorial on suspension setups, diagnosis, and what adjustments need to be made from street to strip if any.

If it were that simple, he'd be out of business. What works for one car may not work at all for a different car. No such thing as a one-size-fits-all chassis/suspension setup. Trial and error, along with the help/knowedge of someone like Madman is the key to a working suspension IMO.

Yes each car is different as is each surface.. I can hook good on concrete road on a 80* night and then go to a tar highway same night and be all over the place..... Same thing at the track, can get to the track in the am it could be cold and no sun and by noon it is 70 and sunny...

It would be nice to know where to start looking for "stuff" to dial in, or which parts we could add or subtract to make it better. It would be nice to have a list of items that COULD work that fit a certian persons car and goals with said tire and surface.

I have no clue how to work that all into sticky..., but there is so much good information on this board that is hit and miss with a key word search.

How about what components work the best? What to upgrade first?
Stock .. MT Drag Radials
Then next like steps when you start to spin those.

The first thing you need on the car is good suspension components. The first thing is subframe connectors.

Then I would spend the money on adjustable shocks. QA1s for the low price or AFCO and Strange for the better ones.

Next would be tires. You need to determine what kind you want to run(drag radial, et street, or slick)

Next would be T/A, LCAs, and relocation brackets. Once you have all that then the tuning can start.

Adjustable shocks for front, rear, or both? Are adjustable LCA and T/A necessary?

Adjustable shocks on all 4 corners. Adjustable T/A and LCAs are highly recommended if you want the best from your car.

If you have all of the above with a slick, how much better would a HAL DA shock be over a HAL straight F shock for the rear?

A dble adjustable is alot better in control of the rear suspension. It is well worth the money to upgrade.

HAL’s or Strange?

I run between 4 to 6 in the rear with a straight Hal F M6 car, what would be a good starting point with the Hal or strange?

Thanks man
