Default 4.11s + Nitrous what would the trap speed be

With my setup roughly what would my trap speed be in 1/4 mile with 4.11s with either 100 shot dry or 150 shot dry?

Would i need to shift into 5th gear? im running 26" tires by 8" the rims are stock trans am 5 spoke rims. Would i need to bump up to a 28" tall tire with 4.11s and nitrous. Would i need to shift into 5th gear before the 1/4 mile is up?

As for the N/A setup. If im running 4.11s what will the RPM range be crossing 1/4 mile 6700? in 4th gear ? thats close to 118 - 123 mph ? Im trying to avoid shifting into 5th gear. N/A

Car has ttops. I deleted the rear tire and jack. I deleted my AIR system. No cats.. What does the car weigh with this stuff taken out ? again rough numbers.

I am pretty sure that u well end with 5th with 4.11`s , u would need to swith to 27 or 28 or swap to 3.73`s .

Since you didn't provide very much info at all, I'll have to take a stab in the dark. I'de guess you'de probably trap about 112 with the mods in your sig minus nitrous. Add about 10 mph on a 100 shot, and around 15 mph for a 150 shot. With a 4.11 gear, you would be crossing the traps almost 6500 on a 100 shot and almost 6800 on a 150 shot. This is assuming you have a 26 inch tall tire and no converter slippage.

My old old set up was S2 Heads 218/222 cam [396HP] and a 75 wet shot.

4.11's 26" Slicks = 10.701 @ 128.36 and I was on the rev limiter at 7000rpm coming across the traps. Seems like 7000rpm and 4.11's 128 is about the max MPH

That was finishing the 1/4 in 4th?

I know its bad to spray nitrous with 3.42s in 5th gear. Is it also bad to spray nitrous in 5th gear using 4.11s? Or its not worth shifting into 5th? better to just get 28" tires

There are a lot of gear/speed 1/4 mile calculators available online.. there is one on www.tciauto.com .

Figure out what rpm you want to rev to, what trap speed, converter slippage, etc.. and see where you will be. 3rd gear is 1:1.. 4th is .75 .

Once you do all that you will find that a LS1 with a stall and any decent amount of power and a 26" tire doesn't suit 4.11's very well in the 1/4 mile.

I went 10.71 @ 133 with my cam only (220/228 .596/.613 112) on a 200 shot with 4.11s and 28s. I was going through the lights at the top of fourth gear. I shifted at around 6500. I trapped 117 or so without the juice. Full weight car. Hope this helps.

200 wet shot ? I take it you had a good 60' time ?

Thats about the mph im lookin for and exactly what rpm i want to shift at.

Can you get a 175 or 200 shot jet for a dry NOS kit ? or is that not recommended?

Also, how would this setup with 4.11s work on the freeway. Say a freeway race. With or without nitrous ?

Looking for feedback and inputs before i install the 4.11s

Yes, it was a wet kit..There are some guys spraying larger shots with dry kits, but you need larger fuel injectors and maybe a pump. My car was always on ET streets, so traction was never a real issue with me on the street unless the road was cold. It just depends what kind of roll you go from. I usually went from a 15-20 on the street. I even hooked pretty well on the spray. 1st gear was a little less forgiving, but second gear hooked pretty good. I didn't have too many dead stop races.

I was definetly going to put in 42lb injectors before i shot nitrous. Right now with just my cam swap im at 89 - 93% duty cycle @ WOT on my injectors. So im not shoting nitrous till i get the 42s.

It might be cheaper to convert to a wet kit that to buy new injectors.

I was seeing 95% duty cycle with mine too on the motor.
