Claire,

As you know from the other board these tires worked like magic (consistant wheels up 1.60's) for me at the same track. I know I'm an A4 but I'm hitting them pretty good with the 4000/2.7 str stall. I spun the rims inside of them also, mostly on drivers side. Was running 18psi warm and doing a MUCH smaller burnout than I did with the ET Street bias ply. My car is all stock suspension except for BMR lower control arms

Did you say these tires were used? I'm not sure about the M/T Dr's but everyone says street driving on soft compound tires hardens them. If these were used maybe this is the problem??

Strange how they work for some and not for others. Was a guy there with a low 12 sec A4 GTO. They weren't working for him either. He was running the same pressure as I was.

Aint Skeered runs the 255/16's on his car, stock suspension with a Torque arm, and leaves anywhere from 5000-6800 if i am not mistaken and cuts low 1.6's on them.occasionally a high 1.5 on a N/A 346 with Mild heads and cam and runs 11.3-11.4@ 121 or so. i went and tried the 325's on my car, lowered 2" with a built rear suspension and H/C bolt on, TH350 car leaving at 3200 off the T-Brake and a 150 shot, they pulled a 1.374 60' time, tires at around 19-20 PSI. these tires seems to really like more air pressure and not a really big burnout, atleast not for me, so i would say try airing them up to around 21 pounds or so and work your way down.
McASANO cut a 1.34 60' on his 325's , and was on his way to a 1.2 when he blew his TH350 to pieces at the line and scattered pieces just keep playing with them and they will work for you

Hey D, thanks for the info. Yes they were used and I am just going to go with the BFG's I have at home and my Nitto's for now. No sense driving myself nuts with a stick. We've all seen what the local guys have done (converting to autos) and well, that's not gonna happen with this car it's staying a streetable cam only stick and I don't want to start upping the clutches to get the car to launch harder. So, in other words, I will remain the small minnow for now while the other TH400 Sharks beat me silly

I guess I have to be patient and build another car that is auto/caged etc and let Dave build me that 402 he wants to.

So anyway, I am done racing for a few weeks I broke another valve spring on the way into work today focker just let go. I am lucky this is the 2nd Manley to break low down on the coil just happened cruising in 4th gear.

Thanks for the replies everyone and the info/advise. I won't be back out til I get some dual springs, they will be ordered tomorrow.

I am fully aware of the 60's there tires are capable of with our cars especially automatics

Thanks for the replies, we'll stick them on our other T/A now that it's got a TH400 and transbrake and see how he does with them.

the experience i've seen with my friend Dave's car is they don't need a long burnout at all, just clean them off, they smoke real easy. If he did a longer burnout the surface would be kinda glazed and hence tire spin.

i think a set of lca's and relo brackets are what ya need. maybe disconnect the front sway bar, that's a free mod.

i cut 1.61 on 17 in BFG's, I'm looking forward to cutting mid 1.5's with the 15 inch M/T's. All I have is lca's.

i'm an a4, i know that doesn't count..
