Thumbs up Drool....rolling chassis in Dallas

We have a new sponsor on the site, Xtreme Horsepower, and I was browsing their site and saw this. Damn this would be one sick car to slap a twin-turbo LSX under the hood of.

Pretty cool car... I can think of alot of things that would work under that hood, plenty of room to do what you want for the most part too... be a cool project, alot of it is already there.

That looks like a car that a friend of mine used to own. When he had it, it had a 632 with a fogger. It went 8.33 @ 165 without the nitrous.

8.33 out of a 632 BBC is a believeable #, with the nitrous, the car was probably capable of mid 7's to low 7's.... only problem I se is that the chassis on that car doesn't look to be built in a way that would get it certified for that speed.

Looks nice. Not a huge fan of backhalfs as opposed to a small tire car that hauls the mail instead. Nice ride though!

No kidding David, but thats another league!

I'd consider buying a car like that '70 if I didn't already have a non-running drag car sitting in my garage haha. You couldn't build a car like that for $17K.

We originally built that camaro for a friend about 5-6 years ago. It was built to run local 1/8th mile stuff with a big block. The guy never got around to finishing it up and sold it off. About a year ago that individual finally got it painted and brought it back to us to install the tin and fit the dash. It was then sold to Xtreme Horsepower. They had been in contact with us about upgrading the cage with the funny car cage and much more. The chassis was built before they started all new chassis specs. But it is a very nice car.

Dan, what could that car be certified to as-is? What would it take to update the cage, etc..?
