Default Drag Shock setup

Okay i went and got a set of QA1's and springs for the front.. Should i go with the same thing on the rear or go with a less expensive shock for the rear like the Competion Engenering? Just seems to me that the fronts are what really matters and that there are less adjustments on the rear.. Let me know your thoughts on this.. If i had a unlimited budget, it wouldnt be a issue.. but if i can save a few hundered, it can be put to good use elsewhere..

Why stop with QA1's on the front, put them on the rear! Real happy with mine front and rear.

I went with QA1's all the way around with 275lb springs in front and stock v6 springs in the rear.

I know how it is having a limited budget, but go ahead and at least buy the single adj for the rear, that's what I did, that way you won't be wondering down the road if that could be your weak spot. I am running Strange Dbl. adj, fronts, and single adj rears.

Save and get the Rear QA1 12way coilovers, I just picked some up and they are sweet!! Then you have full adj. for ride height and how stiff you want the them in the rear.

I've got the same setup as trigger1 going on right now. I was wondering what your opinions are on the V6 rear springs? Contemplating on giving them a shot

Wouldnt this be changing you from stock suspension to modified though? So for some classes you wouldnt cut it?

Yeah I never thought of that as I just run in a pretty basic Bracket class with not to many rules i guess!!! My class I run cars that run 12.99 and faster and it is a money class, they can use delay boxes, trans brakes, almost anything goes, they are just tough on the saftey stuff like DS Loops, rollbars, etc. Hell if I am consistant I can usually make it quite a few rounds!!

Just an FYI, if you get V6 springs, make sure they are out of a 93-97 v6.

98+ v6's got the exact same lb rating as the v8's

I was running QA1 R Series 12 way adjustable shocks and Eibach Pro Kit springs on all 4 corners cutting consistant 1.32 60ft's. I run true street also, now I run AFCO coil overs in the front and AFCO double adjustable drag shocks and short drag springs with Wolfe Racecraft adjustable spring perches in the rear.

i'll be running the same class as Elite this year with a similar setup, only i'll be using QA1s in the rear with the adj. spring pearch and not sure what springs yet.

I'm running QA1 R's in front, regulars in back. Stock 99 springs front and back, but the rears have a few coils cut to lower the car.

Best short time 1.35 spinning.

Elite, if you ran 1.32's with the QA1's and 1.37 with the AFCO's, why did you change? Not trying to be funny cause they are pretty close.. was there another reason?
