damn, good thread. thanks for the info madman. I'm going to try that way as in the past I've always measured it compared to the driveshaft angle. I've had a lot of problems hooking since I've lowered the rear and went to solid LCA's. we'll see what this nets tonight.

funny thing... I had previously set my pinion angle to -2 using the driveshaft/pinion method, but turns out my driveshaft is perfectly level with the ground, sooo there was no change needed to go to the 'madman' way.

got 1 pass at the track 1.441 60' and blew a head gasket best ever is 1.42. not sure what that proves

Proves you will be removing the head(s) to fix it
