Default 12 inch rim pics needed

I plan on ordering a fab 9 inch very soon and was wanting to rim a 12 inch rim. But I am un sure of the b.s. that i need on the rear rims . Also unsure of how much the rear would need to be shortened. The car will be mini-tubbed also. Thanks Raz.

I might be talking out of my *** here.....but I dont think you can do that with a stock style suspension.

why do you think you need a 12" wide wheel? how big a tire are you talking about?

with the new wolfe minitub kit and a narrowed rear you can basically do whatever you want really. the fab9 housing itself is probably most likely overkill though.

I only have a 28x10.5W on a 10" rim and its pretty damn close to the control arm.

your best bet in that case is probably to get a set of offset control arms from someone such as Wolfe or Billingsley.

standard ones or the ones with the 3/4" offset to the inside? i ran a 28x10.5W on a 10" wheel with a 7.5" bs with stock width 9" and never had any issues with rubbing or getting close to the LCA, i have the Wolfes that are offset to the inside.

Did I misread his question or did he not ask anything about what he needed to run suspension wise? Most of the guys going fast on a stock suspension minitubbed car are running a 29x10.5 tire or the similar drag radial. Most believe that a tire that size will have a much better contact area on a 12 inch rim. I believe it needs a 6 inch backspacing with a 3 inch per side narrowed rear.

I think that it would be a 6.5" BS with a rear narrowed 3" per side with a 12" wheel.

Phate is correct. 6.5 bs looks the best and is best fitment. with 3 inch narrowed on the rear.

Wolfe sells offset 1 1/4 control arms with offset bushings. will give u some mro clearence. Also look at the adjustable spring perch.

I should have some pictures of this in the next couple of months. I already ordered my new set of rear Bogart's...when they get here I will send the car to the place that will be doing the mini-tub and clearance work.
