Spray in bedliner results
I puller the interior today to put the bedliner in. The hardest part by far was sanding everything down. I used some 80grit sandpaper and roughed everything up by hand-my damn grinder AND electric sander are burnt out.
Anyways, got it all roughed up and cleaned up and sprayed away. I used about 2 cans worth of spray (less than 1lb) and am happy with the results. It doesn't look as thick as a truckbed liner, I'd say the thickness of it is about that of a dime, maybe half a dime. A buddy of mine has it on his truck fenders and its pretty tough stuff so I'm not worried about it flaking.
I think it looks 1000x better than driving around with just no carpet. The whole interior has a finished look to it now. I don't have a digi cam or a scanner so I can't get any pics of it. However, it looks like everything is just spray painted flat black.
If you are running no carpet I'd highly suggest doing this. I used 2 cans of the spray in bedliner stuff from Autozone @ $7 a can-def. cheaper AND lighter than lightweight carpet.

look kinda out of place? i'm thinking about doing this with mine but cutting something or making something to conceal the wires. i'm making a sheet metal center console for the new tranny setup and big shifter etc so i'll have to do something different anyways.

Well from the back on the center console forward it looks totally stock. With the floormats in you can't even see the wiring, and it tucks down beside the seats. In the back, you can see it, but it's not an eye sore. I'm not going to try to cover it up at all, with it all being black it doesn't stand out a lot.

I like your idea and may have to give it a try.

Hmmmm I was just thinking of that the other day haha. I may have to try it since the car is down. I have light weight carpet for the last 3 years and it's starting to be a pain balling up under your feet and moving around from getting in and out. It would be nice to see some pictures but i may do the back hatch area just to see how it does.

I have a cutout right below the rear passenger seat. It gets VERY hot but does not melt. A CD case I had melted to it, but the liner didn't melt. The only thing I smell every now and then is exhaust and tire smoke when I floor it. It smells good though, if its a problem I just roll my windows down. Some may not be able to stand it, but its worth it to me.
