Default shock question

if i have just enough money to grab a 1 set of double adjustables and 1 set of single adjustables....

where would you put them... for instance-

choice 1- DA in the front, SA in the back
2- SA in the front, DA in the back

In the front get the Qa1 "R" series single adjustable. In the rear you should have the DA shocks so you have more adjustability where it matters.
Madman would be the one to ask.

depending on what your goals are with the car is really going to determine the best path. if your talking all out best for racing dont bother with the front just yet and replace the rear with DAs. then when you have the money replace the fronts. otherwise your spending money on front shocks that eventually will give little benifit. more importantly if you run a m6, singles in the front will be very little help for lower hp cars (stock cubes). the rear suspension is more important than the front. A4 on the otherhand will benifit much more with upgrade shocks singles or doubles since the car wont tend to bog as bad as a m6. my car has old school HALs on the front (put them on when the car was street worthy) and Koni DA out back, those guys were pricy but worth the money. i had to set the fronts as tight as possible to keep it down so they wernt much help.

Just for input, if it wasnt a drag set up, dual in the front, single in the rear..say if you were running Koni's.

in that case i asume the car has already gone on a serious diet ( bumpers, and usless junk). i wouldnt even consider any of the typical ls1 shocks mentioned. dont waste money on cheap parts like that, if you really want to use all the power the drive train actually makes. save up and put a set of real racing shocks. this way you wont waste the power. if it dont stick to the ground it wont help. if your budget allows look into santuff, lamb, or koni and strange racing models. remember you get what you pay for. my 2 rear shocks cost around 500-600 bucks, seems high to some but it pays off at the track.

find a local chassis shop in your area (one who builds race cars other than ls1 stuff) and they can help you with setting up real drag race suspention. not tring to knock the board but its best to get info from some one who does it for a living and has proved their knowledge with many other cars. most race parts are not car specific, so dont think one labeled 98-02 ls1 is going to work better.
