I used to use Bug & Tar remover, but I tried 1BADAIR's recomendation by using WD40 and it is a 100% better. I will never go any other way.

I put the blue painters tape on the wheel wells. Just pull it off and throw it away. Nothing to scrub.

After using the wd40 I use a mild soap or some glass cleaner to get the wd40 off, but I have never seen the wd40 harm the paint or anything. i'm just picky

X2 for the Geddex Burnout guard. Just spray it on before you make your runs at the track. They when you are done for the day, it just rinses off and takes the rubber with it. You can even take some quick detailer spray and wipe it off if you like. I have done that before.

Summit, it's cheaper if you buy the promo pack with the window chalk.

Screw geddex, dont know what kind of burnouts people do where the rubber just rinses off but it doesnt work like that for me lol. Plus if you leave it on the car for a few days it stains the paint I like the geddex shoe polish though

Pam and all the other stuff doesnt work worth a crap..

Use this stuff, spray it on and rubber wipes off with a paper towel when you are done, even if you do John Force burnouts with ET drags over the line on a just VHT'd track. After wiping the rubber off just wash the car like normal and its gone. It works..

I spray pam on before I race, rubber doesn't stick and I usually wash and detail the car the next morning. If anything does somehow get stuck on, wd40 is the ****.

I use the painters tape like Nate. It is very simple and clean. WD-40 is messy and can stain clothing, interior etc. The WD-40/Pam does get it off, but I would use it on a regular basis when tape actually keeps the rubber off the paint. The Geddex works OK, but it still has to be washed off and then the rubber is left in the driveway to get tracked into the house.

Yup, I hate getting the rubber all over the place, thats why I use the detailer stuff like I posted. You can wipe it off dry with a paper towel then vacuum up the rest before you wash it. Geddex will destroy any rag you use to wash it with and you have a driveway full of rubber for the kids to track in the house - wife loves that..

I still use the painters tape sometimes, just that blue or green stuff really stands out on a black car. Plus the spray takes like 25 seconds a side so its quicker but pulling the tape at the track and putting it the garbage is easy also.

I read of someone using baby lotion to keep the rubber from sticking....I believe it was some car magazine that I had back in the early 90's

So where can you get the Duragloss cleaner? That may very well be the ticket. If it works good, I would clean the rubber off at the track before driving home.
