Default Drag wheel question

I already posted this in the wheel and tire section, but thought I should post it on here as well.

I run 28x10.5 hoosier slicks on 15x10 prostars. At what point should i put screws in the wheel to hold the tire to the wheel. I will be pushing close to 600rwhp, and was think if I should do this before my next track run?

lets say you don't with that type of power, you will be the only person at the track that does a burnout with the tire staying still, the rim will spin that much. also if you run a inner tube without screws, it will rip the stem off vary quickly

I didn't screw them until just recently, but they were spinning on the wheel quite a bit. I used that as my parts breaking cushion

I've seen an inch of movement here and there, 1.35 best. I keep them at 12psi typically, lower than that and they miight move more on the rim and the car handles like crap at the end of the track.

Just mark them and see if they are moving. If they aren't moving, I would not screw them.

Thanks for the input. I'll hold off for the time being, and check to see if they move any.
