Default Santhuff spindle mount

Not sure of the price, but I just noticed it on Santhuff's site this morning.

http://www.santhuffshocks.com/struts.html

Anyone had any experience with this setup (Madman?)? I know all about Santhuff from the Mustang guys, but this is the first I've seen of it on a late-model F-Body.

Very interesting...

Santhuff actually has a complete front for the 4th gen f body. It comes with upper and lower control arms, shock assembly and a new spindle. Plus brakes.

It aint cheap but it is the best I have seen yet.

I believe and correct me if I am wrong Madman but that will change suspension mounting points to non-stock style. If so........most of us can not use because of class rules.

Very nice looking stuff!!

Madman do you have a pic of that setup? For guys that haven't bought a k member, a arms or LW brakes yet, (like myself)it might be a good option

I have pictures of the Santhuff F-Body front end on my laptop at home. I'll post them when I get home tonight. It uses a 2" Travel Pro-Car Strut and custom Upper/Lower A-Arms. It was developed for Steve Kirk Jr. I believe.

so that front end setup only has 2 inches of travel? Not gonna be able to drive that anywhere on the street that's for sure.... hopefully I'm misinterpreting that.

Very interested in the pictures. I'm going to talk to a local shop that carries Santhuff (Jeffers Pro Cars) this week and get some more info.

I e-mailed neverlift from new jersey.. waiting on a reply. If this setup uses all good parts, is lightweight and complete, I'm sure it will sell pretty well... that's the worst part of trying to get the car lighter, noone makes a full complete kit to do the job, you have to piecemeal everything together. If there was a way to order it all with one part # and the parts were all tested and go together correctly and work, everyone building a drag setup would just go for that and save themselves alot of time and effort.

I do know the one on Steve Kirks car is all titanium. The quote I got was $15000.00 for the complete front end. I dont know if they have released a chromemoly version yet.

don't think I can swing that.

Is this something that can be used (or even adapted w/ some modification) to work with a production tubular a-arm (AJE, BMR, PA, etc)?

15K that is unreal. I guess for titanium, it's about right probably... but way out of the league of anyone that's building one of our cars.

If they want to sell any of these things, then a chromoly version would pretty much be a nessessity.

That's for an entire front on a tube-chassis car though. The spindle-mount C/O setup for Mustangs run around $2K from what I remember. Honestly, I was surprised that they weren't on Roofer Dave's car since everything else was big $$$.

Here's one picture that I have. I have another on my laptop at home that is a good close-up of the front suspension.

That's not enough travel for any street driven car, no matter how little. If santuff sells a setup for mustangs that's only 2 inches of travel.... that's probably the reson I've never seen one. That's race only stuff.

I'd have to think that a mustang setup that's meant to go on any production OEM chassis would have more travel then that, more like stock, maybe not as much, but still, a streetable amount at least.

I'll see what I get back for info on the setup.... and post up results.

Santhuff parts are 100% race only. None of this QA1 street/strip single-adjustable BS.

http://www.ajeracing.com/camaro.htm

I was tempted to go with this set up... didnt feel like spending the 2000.00 bucks and once this is in the car it wont fit into stock suspension classes..if by chance someone takes a look under the front of the car..

Wasn't aware that the santhuff stuff was a race only setup. Sorry.

As for that aje setup, the strut setup looks good, but I question teh strenth of that k member, that thing looks just a little too fragile. Plus, with struts on teh car like that, a strut tower brace might be needed to stop the front from really flopping around, at least if that k member is gonna be used.
