From what I have seen most people are using the passenger side valve cover.. Thats the way my setup is. I have seen some that utilize the valley cover, but the majority use the valve cover.

would it be better to run it a "Y" and run a line into both valve covers, or is running just one to the passenger side good enough?

judging from the results that LS1JOE had from his setup i would say it was well worth it.

My setup has the line going from the pump to the passenger side valve cover and has a relief valve welded in place on the driver side valve cover.. Ryan aka LOnSLO was using this setup on this same exact engine (i bought everything from him) and he said it picked up about 30hp with the vacuum setup.. But, my 408 has low tension rings so the gains are higher then they would be with a normal set of rings.

The Vac. Pump setups are a nice thing to have for engine longevity and extended bearing life reguardless of the hp and/or e.t. increase..

Here is a pic of my engine.. You can see the relief valve welded into the valve cover on the very front..

I got mine at NAPA. I think any auto parts store probably carries it.

Guys that wanted the vacum pump brackets for the aerospace pumps I accidentally erased my pm's so pm me if any one still wants the brackets they are almost done.
