anyone with comp 3-way drag shocks??
I just got and installed some Comp 3-way adjustable rear drag shocks. I havent gotten the car on the ground yet to try them but I've got some questions before I do. How can you change the settings on the shock? I've tried adjusting them 15 times and every time it goes and sets itself on the same click as before. Another issue i noticed is that these shocks may not be as stiff as the stock ones. I'm not sure yet, but something is different about them. I also noticed that these shocks dont extend on their own like the stock shocks do. Are they supposed to be like this??? it seems like you would want the shock to rebound harder than stock for drag racing. are the springs what rebounds the shock? I've never had these so I dont know. thanks for any advise/words of wisdom.

pull them out (or extend them) then turn the ***. you hear clicks. go with 50/50 setting. you need to pump them up a few times before installing. i believe it says that on the instructions.

stock shocks are pressurized with nitrogen to keep the bubbles down, CE 3 ways are not. Thats how all deag racing shocks are..
When you pull them out there is 3 distinct clicks then a space then 3 clicks again. The middle one is 50/50 (I think, the box has the instructions), you may have to go around to get the little indicator to line up with the marks on the shocks and you have to pull apart and turn pretty hard.

i could only get a click on full compression. I would extend them and try turning and going past the click but they would not rotate past that position. the box says that "R" is the 50/50 setting and it's the 3 sequential one in order (rightmost). I compressed them multiple times to try to get the shock to do something different and they would not adjust. I'll go do some riding later tonight and see how they feel. Since they dont have the same rebounding affect as the stock shocks, is that what I'm shooting for with a drag shock? when i launch they will stay compressed a bit longer before they extend back?? sorry if this sounds confusing..

I have them on my car but I dont remember if you push them all the way in or pull out and turn lol. But they are pretty hard to turn, you have to grab that little disc with the pointer with a shop rag and push and turn. Once they start clicking it will get easier.
Not sure what you are asking but the gas really isnt there to change the dampening even though it seems like it.
