Default Launching off a transbrake?

What technique are people using for launching off of a transbrake/TH400? My setup will consist of an F1C Procharger with a TH400 and 4400 TC.

How do I go about launching this car? Yes it will be on slicks, this is all new to me and while I have heard things about how it works I am really curious to learn what I need to do when I finally get it all set up.

So any techniques for launching off a transbrake would be greatly appreciated.

Let go of the button!!

Its very simple. You add a transbrake solenoid to the transmission and when engaged...it engages 1st gear and reverse at the same time. When you let go of the button...it releases reverse.

You just pull up and stage the 1st light.....then creep up and stage the 2nd light and push the buttom and floor it. Time it to where when you let go of the button....the the car launches at green light before it redlights.

Well, what he said. (in theory). The limiting factors will be hooking ,wheeling, or spinning.
If for some reason that doesn't work, get a 2 step and lower the launch rpm.

A 4400 stalled F1 *should* be fine.
But yes, stage the car, push the button, floor it and let it go. Then go from there.

Don't put the 'brake button on the shifter. I have it on a cord. Don't keep the car on the transbrake for a long time. How do you do it Juggy, what is your routine?

And did you see a benefit with your old cam only setup with it on the brake vs. a footbrake? Trying to decide if it's worth it to hook mine up

Too late... I opted to have the button on the shifter. Is that going to be a problem? I thought it would be much easier there than anywhere else.

How long is too long to be sitting on the transbrake? I figure stage and once all 4 yellows are lit I go ahead and hold the button and mash the gas while waiting for the tree. Is that right?

Automatics in general are all new to me when racing. I gave up on the M6 when I decided it was time to rebuild the tranny and get a new clutch. I figured if I ever wanted to go as fast as the car had potential for I would need an Auto and of course preferably the TH400.

Figure it this way, if you are holding onto the shfiter, and then release just the button, that sudden JOLT could make you actually pull the shifter back, changing gears from 1st to 2nd. that's the reason i figured was the biggest one

I had a cheetah shifter, with the button on it.If you know the shifter, you grab
the button from the back. You do not want your hand physically on the shifter
on the launch or anyway you can pull it back and shift it accidentially went you
launch.
You want the trans button out of the way. By this I mean not on the steering
wheel( incase of panic steer) or anywhere you can bump it on a run.
Hitting that button by accident while moving is NOT good.
The cheetah shifter is the only shifter I would have the button on.
My new set up has the button to the front/right of the shifter. It is also a powerglide
that you shift foward instead of pulling back.
I'm sure there are guys who will argue with me, but this is my thinking/way.
800+ passes and never a problem.

Well... I guess if I end up having an issue I will just remove the wiring and disable the button and wire up anotehr one. But I will try it like this first.

The transbrake will improve reaction time/hit the tires harder.

The higher you can leave(RPM wise) the better the 60' (if you hook)

The transbrake all around is better than the footbrake.

MOST times people are not set up for a TB hit( suspension/tire wise)
It's also knowing your combo/changing things. Lower the 2 step, pulling timing,
ect.
It's not just one thing, it's in the combo.

I was using the Cheetah with the button for the brake attatched too, never had a problem with it. Of course my car isn't the fastest in the world either!
