Default What RPM's do i launch at with a stock car?

I'm going to the track this friday for the high school **** and i'm going to put the stock 16" wheels on the rear of the car just so i can do big burnouts with, but i was wondering what RPM's should i launch at. It's a 2001 Formy with an A4 with stock everything except the front two wheels as mentioned before.

I've been able to get my T/A up to about 1500. I don't think a stock car will stall up much more than that. Best of luck to ya!

What kind of tire are you running? If it's not a drag radial or slick I'd do just enough to spin any rocks and junk. If you try and heat up a regular street radial it won't really do anything, and in some cases actually cause you to spin.

I'm running just the stock 16s on the rear because i just want to do a big burnout for the crowd and not wreck my good tires i dont really care if i get a bad e/t for that run as long as i please the crowd then i did my job.

I have good luck in my A4 at 1000. On street tires I'll consistantly get 2.0 60' , if I go any higher I get some bad wheel hop.

i have the six speed and i launced at 1700 it spun just a second and hooked i went a 1.970 60 ft. the biggest thing is how much preperation goes into the strip. the best time to go is after a car with slick.

My car ran it's best times by flooring to gas versus stalling and easing it out the hole. What gears do you have?
