I went old school and run purple horny header mufflers with turndowns. I have a stock internal LT1 so it doesn't have a radical high compression or anything. Pretty tame when at idle or just cruising but it screams at WOT.
Very easy to remove them if need be and they clear everything. With Eibach drag launch springs I have no ground clearance issues.
I only race the car at test and tunes as far as the track is concerned so the short exhaust works great for the late night street warrior that the car is.

i had the loudmouth, then switched to 2 3" bullets by the axles (straight pipes) but i might switch to just open straight pipes dumped under the axle...sounds awesome!
