Default Madman, harness question

I saw some clips that Crow Enterprizes and numerous other harness manufacturers make that allow you to mount an eyelet either to the frame or cage so that you can clip and unclip your harnesses (just the lap belts)..... I'm wondering if they are NHRA legal.... The over the shoulders I have wrapped around the bar (they are wrap around style) and the submarine I have bolted to the floor using steel bolted underneath the stock front seat mounting studs.....

The clips look like this. My intention was actually to weld the eyelets to the cage and use the clips to attach the harnesses to the eyelets on the lap only.... think these fly???? I was going to buy the eyelets that say "wrap around" and the clips that say floor mount....

pge 229 says,so long as they are mounted to frame, crossmember,or renforced mounting point,,they are allowed,
,for your own safety you should weld a tab and bolt the shoulder belt to the spine bar, most shops put them there when they weld up bars,[just to keep belts from sliding on bar, essp from side impacts]if you dont have tab, get one or have a small bar welded over area of belts,so it cant move side to side,[track tech,s in our division wont allow wrap around belts]again for safety reasons.bob

I would not buy just ANY eyebolt, the ones made for seatbelts are high quality aircraft grade type stuff with a VERY high load rating. I bought mine from Pegasus racing, Summit and Jegs also sells them. They cant be larger than like 9 mm in diameter or the clip will not snap over it. And if I was putting them in the floorboard I would put a 3x3 1/8 plate on the bottom. Round off the corners, You have a pm on the clips.

No i'm am going to weld them to my cage. On the outside of the seat I have a rocker panel bar perfect for that usage.... in the back i'm going to wrap the belt around to the rear part of the seat cause I have two bars that come off the main hoop and go down at 45 degree angles to the driveshaft tunnel.... i'm going to weld two eyes to those as well (1 ea side).... good call on teh eyes.... i'll probably pick them up from pegasus or summit.....
