Kinda an oddball question.

Are you required by NHRA to have a 5 point if you install one of those seats? Or can you use the stock seat belt?

I'm about to buy mine and it's going to be easier to fab up some brackets but I started wondering about how the seat belt would fit around the seat.

If you are putting one of these seats in the car, I'd hope that you have at least a 6 pt cage, and should be running a good harness anyway.

Thats a good point, but my car isn't quick enough to require a roll bar yet and I don't have one.

If i'm required to use a 5 point it's fine with me, I have no problem with it but am I required with an aftermarket seat?

Can I use the stock seat mounting points as anchors for the harness?

The ones you have arent bad, the economy seats have no padding at all. I needed the lowest seats possible and the economy seats are as low as you can go

Hey kp. Did they have to cut your passenger door cup holder because of the roll cage. I have never seen that before?

I installed the cage, thats just where the bar ended up, I could have left it and it would just make the door harder to close - no one will ever use that drink holder anyhow

I have the Jazz seats. Not too uncomfortable as long as the trip is under an hour or so.

kp, your interior looks awesome!!

Comapred to all after market seats they really arent that bad......
I had the Corbeo (or how ever u spell them) and i hated them.....
I like my Kirkeys even better.

I bought them used for a smokin deal... keep an eye out in the FS section...
Even full price there not bad. $120 for the seat, plus $80 for the cover.....
Thats $410 shipped from Summit.

Can't remember the model, but like I said they are RCI or Summit. Check the Summit catalog and you will find them. They're pretty cheap, ~$35 each. That's just the seat, the sliders will run you about another $30-35 and the covers will be additional too. DO NOT buy the Summit or Jegs "universal" mounting brackets. "Universal" means they DO NOT FIT ANYTHING. They suck ***, in other words. I modified them just to get them to work (poorly) and eventually had a friend who is a bad-*** fabricator just make me custom mounting brackets from scratch.
