well i know its a few days late but after "Slowhawk" did the final welding on the bar This past weekend and helped me get it setup up now i cant wait till spring and have the car hook harder, straighter and come up EVENLY! it handles the same on the street, no noise at all, and NO MORE WHEEL HOP . and when its spinning(top notch nanking tires suck ) it stays perfectly straight too.

i believe most like me are reffering to the pro series drag bar

http://www.spohn.net/product.cfm?productid=1437

it solid mounts to the frame

some have the regular bushing style 1" though

Yeah they are talking about the drag bar, I bought mine from Byun Speed for $375 shipped a couple weeks ago. Definatley felt a big difference when I installed it. Hoping to go from a best of a 1.52 60' to a low 1.40 w/ the sphon drag bar and the Wolfe 6pt rollbar.

Sorry in advance if I am hijacking the thread...

Ok, I'm ordering a Moser 9 inch in a few days, and I'm going to need a new sway bar mounting kit ($75 from Spohn). This thread got me thinking...maybe I should just go ahead and buy the Spohn Pro-Series Rear Drag Swaybar for $370, which includes the mounting kit (so it is essentially $295). Is this a good idea? I hate the idea of leaving the line uneven, but I also don't want a lot of added road noise. I plan on 475 rwhp or so when all is said and done, but that may be 2-3 years down the road. I'll have a complete suspension setup for street/strip, but I'm keeping my Koni SA shocks, so I won't ever be getting the weight transfer from QA1s. Is this bar good for me? Should I do the Spohn 1 inch instead ($145 + $75 for the mounting kit)? Or should I just get the mounting kit and wait until I need it? I'd hate to spend $75 and end up getting the kit within a year that has it included. The car is a daily driver but will see time at the drag strip (never autox or road racing). Thanks!

And those running the 1 inch (25mm) or 1 5/16" pro-series on the street, how does the car handle? Does it oversteer badly? I'm not going to road race or autox, but I don't want it to be a burden on the street...

so far i can say the car is alot stiffer and stays alot flatter in the turns too. i dont usally push my car to the lateral limitis though . i have the pro-series and i think it handles alot better BUT i think if you want to go to extreme corning it may push/slide on ya. not enough give to auto-x. but im also on some tom notch nankings till the warm weather comes back

Cool, so handling is improved...but does it ride rough? What would you do if you were in my situation (above)?

I need to know ASAP because I'm ordering all my suspension stuff on Saturday most likely. I want the car to leave straight and hook well, while not sacrificing street manners too much (the main thing is for it to be quiet and have a smooth ride...if i crank my Koni's up, the ride gets harsh, and if the sway bar does this sort of thing, I don't want it).

Thanks!

i have my hals at 5 on the street so its a little stiff to begin with but i wouldnt say it got any stiffer ride wise . some people say they get alot of noise and "pops" ive yet to hear this myself, sounds the same to me as the stock did. but we did take our time centering it up and adjusting the links so i dont know if that may be the difference.

It probably did... I bet 1/2 the people taht say they make noise are having issues with the swaybar hitting the differential case on the rear.
