Default Just got back from the track.. Need advice.

Well went to US-41 yesterday for the MFBA shootout. This was my first time trying out my new setup.

Mods:

Mac Filter
Hooker Full Exhaust
Comp Cam (.588/.581 , .228/.222 114.5LSA)
Vig 3600 Stall
Ls6 Intake
Nitto 555R's

Ran a best of 12.22 @ 111 w/ a 1.79 60"

I am so close to 11's i can taste it. What would i have to do to break into the 11's. I know my car is capable of it as it sits now (at least i think so).

I had a very similar setup when I ran 12.2s. All I did to break into the 11s was put a set of Bogarts on with M/T drag radials. But you shouldn’t need Bogarts, a set of welds or just getting M/T drag radials on stock wheels should do the trick. If you don’t have Lower control arms yet you defiantly should get a pair. A cutout would help and you might have a hard time getting into the 11s if you still have stock gears.

I have a cutout and tried it with it open and closed several times. Car seemed to react better with the cutout closed. I am picking up MT's this week. Next thing would be gears, but i am not sure if i want to throw money at something that might eventually break (10-bolt)

Your 1.79 69ft is killing you. get that down with some good tires and you will see 11s.

111mph I don't think will get you in the 11's unless your 60ft is in the mid 1.5's. Take some weight out of the car (up front is possible) and pick up some ET streets or drags. -Mark

got to get the 60ft down get some mt slicks or drag radials...drop some weight, if you dont have skinnies on the front which i am guessing you dont from the mph get them on there worth about 1.5mph and my car picked up 2 mph from cutout closed to open...not sure why yours didn't...a 1.79 is really bad get rid of those shitty nittos, and just drive them on the street...figure that every tenth you drop in 60ft is around 1.5tenths in the 1/4...so if you pull a low 1.6's you are in...dont forget to take that front sway bar off...it really helped me when mine was off versus on...

also i am not sure because you didn't list it but i would definitely get a lid, ftra of some sort or something like i have in sig, ported TB, and UD pulley...all good bolt-ons for the money...
