I went with the raptor, but I wasn't really aware of the price difference when I ordered. The raptor is an extremely accurate light. I used to hit my 6800 rpm rev limiter when the tach only said 6400 rpm's. Now I'm dead on everytime. I'd recommend a shift light to anyone whichever one it is. The raptor is easier to adjust the rpm settings on though.

From Raptor's FAQ section:
Question: "Are the shift lights capable of monitoring RPM above 9900 RPM ?"
Answer: Yes! If you want to set a shift point at say, 12,000 RPM, double the cylinder selection (if it would normally be 2, then set it for 4) then set the shift light to 1/2 the desired shift point. In this example, it would be set to 6,000 RPM. The shift light would activate at 12,000 RPM.

Not that this would matter to me anyways cause I don't plan on spinning my motor past 6500 RPM's lol
I personally went with Raptor a few years ago because Rick at RP was kind enough to build me a custom light with UltraBrite 3000mcd WHITE LED's (not available on the site)

Also, Harlan was having problems keeping up with orders at the time and I really didn't want the hassle of waiting months after placing my order

Raptor here. I have mine mounted in the A/C vents above the radio. Easy to install and it has mady my shifting more consistant and I look down the track the whole time and not at the tach.

I didn't use a grommet with mine, just installed it behind the mirror vent and swapped the vents from Left to Right so that the vents face me instead of the windows

Stays hidden and it's still bright enough to put me into a wall everytime I shift lol
