Question Guys with 4000-5500 stall what is your 60ft?

please tell us your set up. N/A foot brake(no transbrake) plz. 346ci

1.473 60' on the 275 radials back when had a 4L60e. stock heads with nitrous @ 3500 lbs street car

I went a 1.45 on a 100 shot detuned... 4500 TCI converter with 3.50 gears and 28x10.5 M/T Drags.

how are you guys leaving against these 4400-4600 converters? leaving off idle or at what rpm?!?!?

footbrake + skinnys + big rear gear = leaving at 2K rpms lol

Different converters react differently. Try stalling it up to about 1500, then stomp on the gas or "flash" the converter on the second yellow light. Also try to footbrake it as high as you can without braking the tires loose. See which nets you the better time. I always had the best luck with foot braking as high as I could. I would invest in a proportioning valve for your brakes. It does wonders.

best i have is a 1.53 with a 4000 with th350 and 4.10s with 26/10.50 et streets

I never had that problem. I ran 10.85 on 17" drag radials.

But the valve does help out even with skinnies. When I did have skinnies on the car, I had a small 4000 converter, and it like to be flashed.

I think you mean more pressure on the REAR brakes.

Well, for launching yeah, but you can adjust it to more pressure in the front or rear. You just have to find the sweet spot ya know. Every car is different.
