Default Factory Rack, no pump?

If you run the two lines together how good does it steer? What's the best way to accomplish this?

if you have skinnies on the front at all times its not that bad, tim h is running his rack like this and i set mine the same way. all you do is just loop the hose from one rack outlet to the other, use like a 7" piece of the hose and just cut it to fit.

I looped mine. I am getting used to no power steering.
I run skinnies all the time and make sure I am moving before trying to steer.
Its not that bad once you get used to it. You have just been spoiled too long with power steering on everything.

I hated driving like that. I got the Madman rack. I found running the stock power rack looped was crap.

I plan on a manual rack in the future but if I keep driving it like this then when I get the manual rack in it will feel like power steering.....

It's a big workout running a stock looped rack, and it's super hard to turn the car in tight areas.

Unless the pump is in the way of something I dont see any reason to remove it unless you are going to a manual rack. It takes very little power to drive and doesnt weigh much, I hate driving one of these with a looped rack..

looped here and it sucks. I am looking into adapting the LS1 PS pump to the LT1 motor, easy but just have not taken the time nor found a free PS Pump to work with.

Its a race car not a Cadilac. I don't have power steering at all on my work truck and I daily drive it. No problems at all.

thats why i got rid of my power steering... with a manual rack it feels more controlable in my opinion and you get a good work out as well!

Bleh, I spill my beer all the time when I'm making passes without my power steering working

To me the car feels pretty dead in the center with the pump gone, its just one of those things some people can justify for the 6lbs and 2hp the pump takes and some cant - no right or wrong answer

i dont have a camera... but you have to machine down one of the stand off hex brackets so you can put an idler pulley on there so it doesnt rub the long hex nut.... youll see what im talking about when you look down there
