i thought there would be alot over 3500lbs because of the added iron block weight plus the intercooler and piping and SC/turbo

3350 (about) with 408 iron block, T-400 tranny, 12 bolt rear-end, twin T-67 turbos, and all the supporting air-to-water inter-cooler set-up. -- Also a 10-point roll cage

We've reached a low of 3466#s with almost no fuel (with skinny as driver....me and the boney wife The iron block is holding us just off of a 9.99999999999999X

If I'd known we were gonna race the dang car from the beginning, I would have gone with a non T-top and no leather.

Weight! = Reduced ET

What are you willing to give up?

3350 is great for a turbo car.. especially w/ a 408.. Probably one of the lightest I've seen

Without actually drilling holes in the car itself, I don't think I could drop much. Already have: nothing under the dash; aftermarket about everything; only driver's seat; fuel cell; etc. Looking at possibly going with a guilde, that should drop a few pounds. Also, mini tubbing and 9". If I got really serious about weight reduction is suppose I could drop maybe a 100lbs (aftermarket brakes, lighter rear tires). But why? Just turn up the boost another pound or 2

Me? 235-240. May go with a light-weight mod: my son - 165lb . But at 56 I'm still enjoying the **** out racing. I have a few years left in me

Knowing exactly how much my car weighed before the latest weight mods I'd have to say I'm around 3260 raceweight. 408 on nitrous, glide, narrowed 9", cage and every safety item you could think of. I've done a ton to get down that low as the car was 3400lbs when it went 9.1. The car still has all interior panels, lightweight carpet and a Kirkey passenger seat. I still need to get some Alumstars but that's more rotating savings than static.

I think the guys that voted at the lowest weight in the poll misunderstood raceweight or aren't in a stock framed 4th gen F-body. I guess it's possible, but that would be some extreme measures and a small driver.

with a glide and nitrous stuff I should be around 3150. I still have power brakes, door speakers and another 20 pounds on top of that just need to do it. So maybe 3100 fully loaded. I have all interior panels, stock carpet, stock 98 tank, I can get serious and shed another 200lbs but I like it the way it looks now. I havent voted yet. I will now

As I said, it's possible. But my guess is if it was a fully caged car there'd have to be some really extreme stuff to get to what they voted.
