yeah that was june, that motor was sold in aug. with a bad piston, and your right it had a warped *** prostar because of those great streets in bham. As for the w2w 402 it was a harness problem, something to do with the TPS not reading correctly and it was rich as ****.

I left bham sept 1 this motor was in about the same time, you havent saw the car since julyish. My first passes on this motor were on november 4th, car has been down the track a handful of times...

and the main reason is a lack of a cage which i will have finished in the near future.

Oh and BTW i havent had AC since 2/05 that was the first thing to come off...

Who built the carb?

You should be haulin'. The SB's LOVE alcohol. I know a guy that went from 7.0's to 6.4's on a flying toilet setup. Mine went from 6.1's to low 5.9's on it with a 468 and some insane 60 ft's given how tame my motor is.

I'm sure your brother has told you plenty of times but the alcohol can be a BITCH when you let out of it at the other end. If you don't have turnouts you may end up looking into them. My exhaust runs back past the tranny but I still get the fumes. First thing I do is kick the belts and get some fresh air so it doesn't look like I'm crying when I get my time slip

Jim Evans carb, I've ran alcohol before so I know about the eye burning

I've never converted a 9.70 car to it though. I was wondering if I'll get the 3-4 tenths I would usually get on a mid 10sec car or maybe just 1-2 tenths ,but time will tell

I would think it would be good for at least 9.40's, I have cubes on you and mine went from ~mid 9.6's to low 9.4s. I'm more than sure you'll be in the 5's 1/8 mile and you will forever be bored with 1.3X's. I'm interested to see what it'll do.

You're lucky to have someone you know already running it/have experience with it. Me and my Dad went into it blind, it's a SOB to get everything straightened out (EGT, milking, etc.).

Yeh it is, this car has been on gas too long so its time to switch. Thanks for the et comparison I was hoping to get at least 2 tenths from the alcohol and a tenth out of the Jerico would be fine with me, so hopefully 3 tenths all together And 5.90's in the 1/8th would be very nice N/A

Half of the posts in this thread are from a jackass that is lying about his entire setup talkin **** about how he's gonna break Tostos record. Just thought I'd call him out on it while everyone was lookin and figured I'd let Tim know that hes a liar. And if you could read I just said "im not gonna argue with you about it" and that was it. So you can shut the **** up now..

5.90s N/A is definately something to be proud of. Did you/will you have to do any kind of major modifications to get the Jerico in there? And how much of a weight difference is there between the T-56 and the Jerico?

I'm sure I'll be doing some cutting to get it in there. The Jerico weighs 68 pds and the 6spd is 139 or so. I will be running a scattershield too now so I'll prolly save around 32 pds I'm guessing, I'll still be around 3400 pds ,but look factory and hopefully go 9.40's or better

Are you installing a soft-loc with the jerico. If so that will definately pick up over the static clutch. I know in the SAM orange camaro we went for 1.4 60ft to 1.29 with the only change being the soft-loc clutch.

I was gonna run the soft lok. I had it in the car with the 6 spd and they sold me the wrong flywheel with the clutch kit or at least thats what they think, it also broke an adjuster , so I sent it back. It would never fully engage because of the slave. I'm going to run the ram long stlye cutch basically same set up as a soft lok ,but my disc is not sintered iron. Its the clutch I've always ran in my 4 speed set ups it should work very well.

I think the car will 60 very well in the mid too high 1.20's especially with my 3.19 low gear verses the 2.66 in the 6spd.
