Bias ply has no steel belts in the construction making it soft, a drag radial has steel belt construction making the tire very stiff

I dont get the chance to drive my car alot (military) and so this is why I was looking to go with the street radials. So I can just drive them on the street. I plan to do some suspension work pretty soon (Like, its my next thing to do). The only thing I am worried about is I am looking to go nitrous soon. I guess this might be a problem? lol

Hmm, I'll see then. Might go with that idea. I just think the street radials are not going to like the sudden shock of a 100 shot. lol

i can turn 1.6X's with the radials but know im still leaving some on the table. i dont have trunk space to carry extra wheels/tires so needed something i can drive across island. they are harder to pedal once they are spinning though.

Yeah Im talkin 275/40/17. So how do they work with nitrous chris? Do you launch spraying in 1st gear? I assume you are MN6. I was wondering if I am just going to have to spray at the top of first, second, or can I do all of 1st off the line? Thanks, this info is helping. Also chris, what brand are your 275's?

(m12 transmission)
on a preped track they will yank second gear hard enough i get pressed into the seat and my foot comes out of the gas a little and the nitrous cuts out.(WOT switch) oops slides seat forward... in first gear they require the clutch to be slipped till the back tires pass the tree and are solid after that. i maintain my launch rpm(3k-3500) and dont go wot till the clutch is out all the way. basically im spraying from the tree onwards. the tires wont hook if i sidestep the launch. the cheater slick is a better tire on the track for a manual trans car as they absorb some of the initial shock but im not a fan of mixing tires. too much topend tail waggin for my taste. the radials been getting the job done and im on my second set.
