My thought you need a dry chemical. Helps cut the VHT helps it dry out quicker.

I just heat my tires, then spray it on wipe them over, then GO!

Mek breaks rubber down..if the spot has no rubber build up on it do not just use a mek/vht combo..you will want straight vht sprayed from starting line out..do rolling burn outs threw the vht patch..once you get rubber down that is when you want to use a mek/vht combo..the mek will help soften the rubber on the ground,the lighting on fire brings temp into that rubber and helps dry out the glue so its nice and sticky..burn out just do in plain vht after you prept your lane.
