The project has reached the next phase... it's at Champion Auto Body getting a fresh coat of black paint along with a Trans Am front clip that they just so happened to have lying around... can you guess where my turbo will make it's home? The engine bay and roll cage look alot better now!

My car left Champion Auto Body today... on time and on budget... Thanks to Rob Ng for coming through for me! The Trans Am center fog lights are perfect places to mount a turbo The 315/60 Drag Radials on 12" wide rims look small when tucked in like they are!

Nice, can you get a shot of the back to show how wide the tires look?

The class I am running in does not allow any holes in the bumper... so I needed the Trans Am nose to mount the turbo...

But I have to say I am liking the look of new bumber now that it's on the car...

black.. the only color there is.

Have you thought about putting the t/a side skirts on it?

I thought about it, but the car is heavy enough as is... it will end up being close to 3500lbs... I don't mind the look of the TA nose minus the skirts

I didn't read all of the thread, but noticed you're running a 15x12 inch rear wheel. Whose mini tubs are you running? How much did you narrow the rear? What's the backspacing on the rears? Did you have to do anything special to make them fit?

I plan on mini tubbing mine. I've already got the tubs (wolfe), offset LCAs, spring perches, and 325/50/15s. I'd like to run a 15x12 rear, but I'm not finding too much info about it vs. the 10 inch rear.

Thanks

The rims are the deepest dish that is available... the entire back end of the car is custom... including the tubs, torque arm, LCA, fab rear end, etc... it's setup to handle a 29.5W tire along with wheelie bars in case we decide to crank up the boost... there are photos of the underside of the car earlier in the thread...

The next round of photos should include a mounted and plumbed turbo system

It looks like I won't make it out to the 1st race 2 weeks... most likely 3-4 weeks before being track ready... which is OK, as it will give us a weekend or 2 of T&T before the next race which is in 6 weeks... I would hate to show up to a race with a completely new setup!

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!!!

Ok, read all of it now. Your car's going to be even more of a monster now than it was before. Guess the quest for information on fitting a 15x12 inch wheel continues.

I like that hood, especially how well the lines flow. It's not notchy or odd looking at all. How tall is it?
