custom painted helmets. anyone have any custom painted helmets? lets see some pics and who do you recommend? i am looking to get a black simpson painted with a Grim Reaper theme or a Bear theme (grizzly bear not chicago bears). any ideas? mods feel free to move this i though the drag racing section would fit best.

I got a Simpson Bandit. I'm either painting it the color of my car with some graphics/flames added or just flat black with skull and cross bones.

hrod nice looking helmet your dad has! when you get your work done id love to see it because thats what im looking to get painted, a black simpson bandit. i'm thinking like a grim reaper/skull type theme in a red hood rather than black. my car is black. i just want to see some good examples and also some refferals on who could do some work for me.

What's the legality with custom painted helments? I know some tracks won't pass helmets even if they have non factory stickers on them. All I want to do is change a helmet from white or silver to black, but I also don't want to throw away $300+.

Yeah that would really suck about it... $250 Helmet and the a $200 paint job and not be able to use it......

yeah i can see the tech problems, im not really looking to compromise my safety, but these helmets look so boring. i think ill still go through with it, a painted helmet beats no helmet on the street.
