Tire combination help, please. I need a 28" tire with my gearing to be able to run the 8th in 3rd and the quarter in 4th. I have been searching and there seems to be some issues with running a stock radial up front with a drag slick in the back. What I was wanting to do is run the stock WS6 rim up front with my street tires and have 16" T/A wheels out back for a 28" tire.
I am not too educated when it comes to tire combinations, but I have learned a little so far searching on here. If someone can lead me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. Any input will be helpful as this is all new to me.
Right now I am just running a 275/40/17 MT DR.

I think that the problem comes from the stiff sidewall of the radial vs. the soft flexible sidewall of the slick. It can cause an unstable ride, especially at the big end of the track. Hope this helps!
